It's a blizzard out there!

I know it has been a couple weeks...I don't have any excuses...just didn't get around to it!

Cael continues to keep us very busy! In the past couple weeks, he has begun to smile a lot more, some even purposeful, I think! He will even throw in an occasional laugh!

The nights haven't gotten much better...ok, not any better at all! (I am just thankful I don't have to go back to work next week!) His new thing is that he will wake up around 4 am to eat, and stay awake...silly boy thinks 4 am is when his day should begin! He will lay on the floor, wiggle, squirm, smile, laugh, coo/goo...this usually lasts about 45 minutes or so. Regardless of the things I tell Cael that this is not play time, he thinks otherwise. He will usually go back to sleep for another hour or two, which I guess would be a nap to him...for me, it is going back to bed!


We finished up with Baby and Me class on Monday. The moms plan on staying in touch and trying to get together once a month or so...we'll see how that works out! It was great to meet other moms in the same boat we are, and come to find out...our little guy is doing the exact same things the other babies are regarding sleeping, eating, bathing, playing, fussing, crying, etc. I think Cael also found his first little girlfriend, Willa. When Willa's mom would pick her up, he would squeal and look in her direction! We will have to keep a close eye on him!! Oh, I forgot to mention...Cael continues to gain significantly, now weighing 12 lb 3 oz!



We are getting closer to finding a daycare for Cael. We definitely have a couple options...just to decide! Hopefully the references will tell me a lot and make me feel more comfortable with the in-home setting!

As far as I am concerned...I have run out of BP medications, so now I am officially weaned off. I go to the clinic tomorrow to have labs drawn, then back to the MD next week for an official BP check and to find the results of the labs. Hopefully everything is back to normal, and I can be done with the extra stuff!! Cael also goes to the pediatrician next week for his 2 month well-baby check-up! We will get to see how well mom, dad, and baby Cael handle shots!
