Labor Day weekend

We had a fantastic weekend in Iowa City, although it was cut a little short by me having to work on Monday. We stayed with Jordan and Erin in their house, and Flynn and Cael spent hours chasing each other around the house and playing with Flynn's train table and cars.
The two boys act like brothers and we occasionally had to interject, but for the most part they got along very well! It was fun to see what they both will be like as big brothers in the months fast approaching!

We went to the apple orchard and picked our own apples (Honeycrisp) which Cael enjoyed eating while we were picking.

As you can imagine, Jonathan loved to have Cael eating an apple while carrying him in the backpack.

We met the newest member of the Rixen family! Meet Nova!!

We fed the ducks at City Park.
When we ran out of bread, the boys found fun in throwing rocks into the water (not quite Lake Superior back in June, but they didn't seem to mind).
Gramma and Grampa with their boys.

Baby bump galore...Erin was 32 weeks, Jenny was 30 weeks.
We had a great weekend! Hard to believe the next time we get together with the Iowa City Rixen's the number of our children will have doubled! It will certainly make the holiday's interesting!

You two look adorable! Doubling kiddos will be a blast! I must ask though...why are the boys in backpacks and not running around?!?! Kjetil loved walking around at the peach orchard and eating peaches, very sticky and messy! I'm not sure we could get him to stay in the backpack!
