Cael Cetin joins our family

So we are finally adjusting to life at home, and I am starting to feel well enough to do more than just laying on the couch (don't worry...I am still taking a break, and my feet are still up...and sleeping when Cael does for at least 1 nap a day).

Most recent updates with us...Cael continues to show significant improvements with his jaundice. Yesterday we had an appointment and he didn't have to get a heel poked because he gained 3 oz in 2 days (up to 7 lb 11 oz), and his color has improved. We have his 2 week check up next week so we will see how he is doing then...hopefully the jaundice has resolved by then!!

For me, I didn't have to have labs drawn since my levels were improving, and I have been feeling ok. My blood pressure on the other hand...continues to be high (136/92), so they want me to take a blood pressure medication for 4 weeks. If that means I can stay out of the hospital, I am willing to do it!! I have still been ordered to not do too much around the house and to rest when I can...do they realize we have a newborn at home? Cael has been a great baby so far, so I do get a chance to at least sit down with my feet up, and occasionally take a nap when able.

As far as things going at home...things are going pretty well. If only Cael could figure out days and nights we would all get a little more sleep. Some nights are better than others, but then again I remember we do have a newborn at home...it is kind of expected, right?

Better tend to Cael...he is starting to wake up for his afternoon nap...and I'm sure he will be one hungry hippo when he wakes up!! Below are a few more pictures of Cael...Enjoy!
