House projects continue!

I know it has been a LONG time!  We have been busy...really, we have been!  One thing we have been busy doing is the continuous projects of owning a home!  One morning the dining room light flickered off as I turned on the switch.   Logically thinking, I went to buy light bulbs thinking it was the bulbs...still no light!  The next weekend, Jonathan and I both got sick with the flu (the kids somehow got by), so the light didn't get fixed that weekend.  Meanwhile, Cael found a new love for puzzles, and no light did not stop him! 

 The following weekend, on Saturday, Jonathan changed the light switch...it still didn't work!  On that Sunday, Jonathan and I forced the kids to stay in their room and take a nap (which Kiera did not fall asleep for the 2 hours I had her in there), and we changed the light fixture.  Keeping our fingers crossed, and turning on the power back on, much to our amazement, the light turned on!  In the meantime, the kids are both sitting in the living room at the table, and with the power turned off to the house, they were sitting by camp lantern, watching.  They were such good kids!!

Next up---tiling the kitchen!  We bought the backsplash tile, and have the floor tile picked out.  Now to find the time to get it done!
