Last weekend, we (Iowa City Rixens too) were invited to Des Moines to spend the weekend and go to the Iowa State homecoming game against Texas A&M. Mark and Sara were excellent hosts both at their house and at the game (as usual). We enjoyed the beautiful fall day by being outdoors tailgating for about 4 hours before the game. Flynn was a trooper and beared the wind with the rest of us!! Iowa State ended up short in the end, but it was fun being there, and Jonathan was living his alumni dream!
On Sunday we met up with Andy and Hannah for breakfast before heading north in the intense wind, with occasional corn stalks blowing across the road, followed by snow in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota! I guess the fall is officially here, with winter not far behind!!
