Here we go!

So we have been asked by several people to start a blog...what a great idea! With family and friends all over the country, we thought it would be the easiest way to keep people "up-to-date" with what is going on with the Minnesota Rixens!

• May 14, 2008 we found out we were expecting a little bundle of joy in January! We realized we better move along the house hunting and buying process, so...
• June 13, 2008 we closed on our house!! Our family and friends have been more than helpful with getting our house prepared for the little one...thanks to everyone who has helped! We have a lot to learn about owning a home!!!
  
• We surprised everyone on Father's Day (June 15, 2008) with the news of the little one, and another grandchild for both sides of the family
  

Even though we have been busy with the house, we have found time to travel and do enjoy our final months of "just the two of us" before the baby arrives.

• In July, we traveled to Estes Park, Colorado with Jonathan's family for an extended weekend and a little hiking...Jenny didn't do too much hiking with the altitude change...she was fortunate enough to spend the remainder of the day with Erin and our "new" nephew, Flynn, who was only 8 weeks old at the time!

• In September, we went to Des Moines to visit Jenny's brother, Andy, and niece, Hannah...we had a good time at Adventureland!!

• The next weekend we traveled to Chicago for Jonathan's Grammie's 80th birthday party...it is always fun to get the family together!! (Jenny is 24 weeks along in this picture)

• A couple days later, Jenny traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas with her family to spend a long weekend with her family as her brother, Eric, received his pilot's wings and became an Air Force Pilot...fun to get the family together...always sad to leave Eric, Cyndy, Chloe, and Laurelei! We topped off the weekend with a trip to Sea World!! (Cyndy and Jenny are due 1 day apart!! About 25 weeks in this picture)

• In October, so far we have gone to Lutsen, Minnesota with Scott and Christy Poska for the weekend...the fall colors along Lake Superior were absolutely stunning, and the day of hiking was perfect! (Jenny is 27 weeks in this pictures)

I hope to update this blog frequently...of course that may or may not happen, depending on the little one! I hope everyone is doing well!!
