The 4th of July, we left Cael in Iowa for the week since we were coming back the following weekend for a wedding. So, Jonathan and I met up with a couple friends to watch fireworks in St. Paul. During the week, Jonathan and I went to the Guthrie Theatre to watch the play "Streetcar Named Desire" (Jonathan got us tickets for my birthday). It was really fun, and the new Guthrie Theatre is an amazing building! Later in the week, we got together with Scott and Christy Poska at an ISU alumni gathering (ok, so I went for the socializing)...again, something that is hard to do while Cael is home. Amazing how much you can do while Cael is gone, but on the other hand...I got absolutely NOTHING done around the house! Oh, well! I guess that is the way it goes sometimes!
Yesterday I got a call at work from daycare saying Cael has a fever of 103. I went to pick him up, got him home, gave him some Tylenol and he was acting completely normal! I took him to the doctor worried about his ears again, but everything checked out ok and his fever was down, which is great! It must have been a virus or something. Since he had the fever in the middle of the day, we had to keep him home today, so Jonathan and Cael played all day.
Fun, recent pictures of Cael...
He likes to "help" around the house, and picking up sticks is one thing he likes doing. By the way, he is sitting in new grass in our backyard...turned out pretty well!
He is getting really good at the stairs, but still need to watch him!
Cael is a sweet corn kid! Notice the picture below...all the corn is gone! And no, we didn't help him! I'm not sure why I am surprised by this!

Looks like Cael had a great time with both sets of Grandma's and Grandpa's. He is so grown-up! Hope you had a relaxing week as well.
