Quiet weekend at home...preparing for a busy October!

This past week, on Monday, Cael woke up with an extremely hoarse voice, like he had been up crying all night, which he wasn't. I kind of let it go for a few days, thinking that it will go away. Well, come Wednesday, it hadn't gotten any better, and I thought it probably should have, so I decided to drop the Pediatrician and email, and he said to bring him in to make sure it wasn't croup. Thankfully, it wasn't...but we did find another ear infection! Cael did get weighed, and...are you ready? 21 lb 11 oz!! He is certainly my BIG little boy! So we are on another antibiotic.

Yesterday we ran our first family 5K. Of course Jonathan finished well before I did...and he was pushing Cael! But...nonetheless, I finished the race (without walking) and in a time faster than I thought. I have to admit...it was kind of fun! The race was sponsored by The Hartford, and here is their mascot, Larry the Stag. Cael thought he was hilarious!


Jonathan had to go in to work for a few hours on Saturday afternoon, so Cael and I spent the day at the outlet mall, getting Cael a whole new wardrobe for the fall. Believe it or not, Cael isn't fitting into his 6 month clothes very well, and I kind of refused to buy new shorts since Fall is knocking at the door!

This morning, Heather and Paige stopped by to visit!! Paige and Cael are only 2 months apart!! Paige is taller than Cael, but Cael has her beat in the weight department! They were both crawling all over the place, trying to keep up with each other, and they played very well together! Too bad they live in Green Bay (about 4-5 hours apart)!
